THINGS TO ADD TO YOUR STATUS.CAFE PROFILE
heads up, editing straight in the status.cafe About sections is a bit difficult!
not undoable, but not very fun. :( it also seems like it doesn't give a popup if you accidentally close out with unsaved changes.
i'd recommended editing in Notepad++ and just copying+pasting into status.cafe but i also recommend listening to xiu xiu. so

• PROTECT YOURSELF FROM XSS WORMS (DISABLE JAVASCRIPT FOR STATUSCAFE) i mean...its not that bad i guess ¬_¬ but i dont want to see merry chrxmas on my profile

• Look thru all your statuses and delete ones you don’t like/are ashamed of or you made while in an irrational state of thinking (aka, when you sobered up…….)

• Hide the headings you don’t want (email, homepage, subscribe va atom, etc.) {display:none;} ftw

• Learn how to increase character count + get custom emojis for yr statusesaka the exhilirating task of opening chrome inspect

• Image background (bonus points if it moves) and unless its those tileable backgrounds, i always make my bg images cover idk

• Hide username on statusesand the dates...and the emojis... and the entire status if thats yr thing. ive also seen some ppl make it so a little extra emoji decorations appears when you hover over it! i couldnt find it though (-‿-")

• Import a custom fontdownload from dafont and host on filegarden or import from google font are the best options in my opinion!

• Create a fixed scrollbox for your statuses so you dont just scroll down foreverIMO. i think the just page scroll ones are a bit fuck ugly that might be a me thing though

• Include when you began making statuses! (est. month year)ok yeah this one's just me 💔

• Music file (autoplay or not)im a bit of a hypocrite i hate autoplaying music on neocities pages but i cant add much more to a status profile....

• Interacting linksat least make em go italics when u hover im SUCH a sucker for things changing on hover im like a little googoo gaa gaa baby

• Put some image or emoji before the links on the nav nav a::before or after

• Change the way the navbar looks and where it’s placed! the simple CSS look is nice, but not that nice!

• Custom cursor (normal and a::hover) although i think status.cafe works only w/ .cur cursors

• Custom CSS scrollbars also add some ascii to yr CSS. for no useful purpose. just fun. :*

• Interactive statuses/text (e.g., moving or glowing when hovered on)think about how fun itll be to just fling yr mouse over statuses over and over aimlessly...........

• tooltips for profile elements!i hate this idea and i hate you

• CSS filter (tv, scanlines, inverse, etc.) im such a sucker for strong contrast

• Blinkies/stamps/pixels ! you can also make them interact somehow when you hover over them with the mouse!

• Sign up for the forum! (MAKE SURE THAT IT DOESNT OVERRIDE YOUR PASSWORD IN YOUR PASSWORD MANAGER THOUGH!) if this happened to u you should probably send m150 to get help
